More than 2,000 attendees are anticipated at the VT1s concert happening tomorrow at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. Managing Director Tikiko ‘Tix’ Korocowiri expressed excitement over the robust ticket sales, reporting that over 50 percent of tickets have already been sold, a milestone for the label.

“We might actually be pushing towards 3,000 attendees, which would set a VT1s record,” Korocowiri noted, appreciating the growing enthusiasm for the event. Additionally, a market will be available from 4 PM for attendees to enjoy local vendors before the show begins.

The concert will feature Pacific Islands sensation Myshaan Komene, who recently arrived in Fiji. He is set to perform his hit “Carry My Heart” alongside Kali Tui, and “Angel” with Nicky Beddoes. In addition to his performances, Komene took the time to connect with students at two Suva schools, inspiring them by sharing his journey as a musician.

“My main goal is to shed light on my life as a musician and as a young Polynesian artist navigating this industry with my morals intact,” Komene stated, emphasizing the importance of love and kindness.

This concert is positioned within a broader trend of musical celebrations in Fiji, illustrated by the recent success of George ‘Fiji’ Veikoso’s Homecoming concert. Such vibrant musical events not only highlight local talent but also boost the economy through tourism and community engagement. With a growing interest in these concerts, there is a sense of optimism that they will continue to lift spirits and strengthen cultural connections in the region.
