Two local companies have partnered to promote a cleaner and healthier Fiji. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited are launching a program called ‘I Recycle’ aimed at maintaining cleanliness and promoting sustainability across the country.
This initiative reflects Vodafone Fiji’s dedication to minimizing its environmental impact and encouraging sustainable waste management practices. During the program’s launch at the company’s headquarters in Suva, acting CEO Rajnesh Prasad emphasized the importance of this collaboration.
“Through this partnership, we aim to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, beginning with our head office in Tamavua,” stated Mr. Prasad. He added that by collaborating with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited, they are not only enhancing local waste management efforts but also nurturing a sense of responsibility and community spirit among employees and customers.
Amitesh Deo, founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, noted that this program paves the way for increased business participation in sustainable waste management and illustrates how collective efforts can lead to significant environmental and societal advancements.
