A passenger was hospitalized after a vehicle accident in Buca, Savusavu, last Sunday, where the car veered off the road and crashed into a residential building. The incident occurred early in the morning and involved three individuals in the vehicle.

Superintendent of Police Eroni Soqosoqo, the Acting Divisional Police Commander North, reported that the driver and two passengers were transported to Savusavu Subdivisional Hospital for medical care. Following treatment, the driver and one passenger were released, while another victim was transferred to Labasa Hospital for more intensive care.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the occupants of the house that was struck. Police responded swiftly to the crash, providing assistance to all victims involved.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and awareness, especially in challenging driving conditions. It’s encouraging that no serious injuries occurred to those in the house, highlighting the resilience of the community in the face of such unexpected events.
