Gurjit Singh’s coached USA Island Boys have secured their spot in the Over 40s grade semifinals of the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup held in Sydney. The team achieved this by defeating Labasa 2-1 in the quarterfinal match today.
Labasa initially took the lead with a goal from Deepak Chand, closing the first half at 1-0. However, the Island Boys made a strong comeback in the second half, with Viren Singh equalizing the score. Lawrence Dutt then sealed the victory with an impressive goal.
