The Nasinu Town Council has recently initiated a commendable initiative to combat pressing issues like drug abuse, littering, and violence directed towards women, children, and seniors. Launched last Friday, the event, named “Hands Across Nasinu,” aims to unite the community in fostering a safer, cleaner, and more compassionate environment in Fiji.
During the launch, Minister for Policing Ioane Naivalurua emphasized the crucial need to improve community safety and address substance abuse. He posed thought-provoking questions regarding the future safety of children in schools and the security of homes in Nasinu. “That’s the challenge that we’ll all have to carry,” he stated, stressing the importance of community involvement to successfully implement this grand idea.
