Olympic bronze medalist Reapi Uluinasau is set to rejoin the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team for the Vancouver leg of the SVNS Series, marking her return after recovering from an ankle injury sustained last season. Her comeback is expected to significantly strengthen the squad, which is under the guidance of coach Timoci Volavola.
Uluinasau’s experience will complement the talents of veteran players Lavena Cavuru and Sesenieli Donu, along with emerging star Vika Nakacia. The team has also enlisted the skills of Ilisapeci Delaiwau, Adita Milinia, and Mereuela Torooti, promising a competitive lineup.
In their upcoming matches, the Fijiana 7s will face Japan in their first pool match at 10 am on Saturday, followed by a clash with France at 3:52 pm the same day, and will conclude the pool stage against Great Britain at 9:18 am on Sunday.
This return of a key player like Uluinasau, combined with the team’s depth and experience, offers a sense of optimism for Fijiana 7s fans, as they aim to perform strongly in Vancouver and build momentum for future tournaments.
