A series of light earthquakes occurred along the Suva–Nausori corridor in Fiji this evening, creating a buzz among residents. The Fiji Seismology agency reported the first quake at 5:28 PM, followed by a second tremor at 7:11 PM, and a third slightly later at 9:09 PM.

The epicenter of the tremors was located approximately nine kilometers north of Nausori Town. Residents in both Suva and Nausori felt the slight shaking and took to social media to share their experiences, reflecting the community’s engagement during such events.

Authorities are monitoring the situation and have confirmed that there is no immediate tsunami threat resulting from these earthquakes. Fortunately, as of now, there have been no reports of injuries or damage, offering some reassurance to the affected communities.

As Fiji continues to build resilience against natural events, the experience of this evening serves as a reminder of the importance of preparedness and community awareness.
