A tragic road accident occurred in Savusavu yesterday, resulting in the death of a woman in her 60s who was a passenger in a four-wheel-drive vehicle with nine other people. The incident happened when the vehicle, driven by a man in his 30s, allegedly failed to navigate a bend along Buca Bay Road.
Authorities reported that the injured passengers were promptly transported to Savusavu Hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead. Two additional passengers remain hospitalized at Labasa Hospital with injuries sustained in the crash.
