Tragic Road Accident Claims Life of Young Woman in Lautoka

A 19-year-old woman lost her life in a road accident early this morning in Lautoka. She was one of four passengers in a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old on Queens Road near Navutu when the driver reportedly lost control, leading the vehicle to veer off the road and collide with a post. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and the three other passengers were transported to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where they are being treated for serious injuries. The national road death count now stands at 42, a decrease from 63 during the same period last year.
