Roger Qoro Sr is facing the heartbreaking loss of his son, Roger Qoro Jr, known affectionately as the “golden boy” of Sabeto Village in Nadi. The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday when the 12-year-old was thrown from a moving vehicle.
Roger Jr had been enjoying a New Year’s picnic with members of the Revival Church at Natadola Beach. Relatives who witnessed the accident quickly rushed Roger Jr to Sigatoka Hospital. Mr. Qoro noted that he was informed his son was responsive but had his eyes closed. However, by evening, Mr. Qoro’s worst fears were confirmed when he received a phone call from the hospital at 7 p.m. He shared, “I asked about Ju, and they started crying.” An uncle delivered the devastating news that Roger Jr had passed away from internal injuries and bruising.
