The body of a five-year-old boy who drowned in Waidra, Baulevu near the Rewa River has been found this morning.
Divisional Police Commander Eastern, Senior Superintendent of Police Joape Cakacaka, stated that the boy was swimming at the time of the accident.
The Fiji Police Force is urging parents to closely monitor their children, particularly with the cyclone season and school holidays approaching.
They also expressed appreciation to the Goneturaga na Vunivalu of Kasavu and the surrounding communities for their assistance in the search efforts.
