A man in his 60s from Nasavu Village tragically lost his life following a serious motor vehicle accident last night along Kings Road near Wairuku in Ra. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a man in his 30s, which veered off the road, leading to critical injuries for all five occupants.
Emergency services swiftly transported the driver, the deceased, and three other passengers to Rakiraki Hospital. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead upon arrival. Currently, two passengers remain hospitalized at Rakiraki Hospital, while a third has been transferred to Lautoka Aspen Hospital for further medical treatment.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into the accident and have confirmed plans to interview the driver as part of this ongoing inquiry.
