Tragedy Strikes: Young Woman Dies in Early Morning Crash

A 19-year-old woman tragically lost her life in a road accident early this morning in Lautoka. She was one of four passengers in a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old when the driver reportedly lost control near Navutu on Queens Road. The vehicle veered off the road and collided with a post. The woman died at the scene, while the driver and the other three passengers were taken to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where they are in serious condition. Currently, the national road death toll stands at 42, a decrease from 63 for the same period last year.
