TotalEnergies (Fiji) Pte Ltd unveiled its newly renovated service station in Raiwaqa, Suva, with an investment of approximately $2 million. The upgraded facility, managed by the local firm Supreme Fuel Ltd, features eight fueling points and will employ around 20 staff members, including a service station manager, pump attendants, and car wash personnel.

Bhavna Samel, managing director and CEO of TotalEnergies Fiji and Tonga, emphasized the need for renovations given the aging condition of many service stations, which have endured various weather challenges over the years. “Many of our stations required some care and attention,” she stated. The renovation not only modernized the aesthetic of the station but also involved replacing tanks and pipelines, marking a significant investment in infrastructure.

The renovation project was executed by the local company Design Engineering and ensures that the facility has the capacity to fuel over 200 vehicles daily. Ms. Samel noted that besides the Raiwaqa location, similar upgrades are planned for other stations in Nausori and Nadi.

Rajesh Patel, managing director of Supreme Fuel, hailed the reopening as a testament to hard work and perseverance. He expressed gratitude for the long-standing relationship with TotalEnergies, which has persisted for over 20 years since TotalEnergies took over operations from Shell Fiji. This partnership continues to foster a commitment to quality and reliability in service.

This investment reflects TotalEnergies’ dedication to enhancing customer experience and operational standards in Fiji’s energy sector. The company is optimistic about the future expansion of its service stations, which aims to provide better service and facilities in the community.
