A tragic accident in Naduna, Labasa, has claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy named Shalvin Lal from Tuatua. The incident occurred on Monday night after Lal left his home around 12:30 PM to pick up a relative.

Reports suggest that Lal was driving at a high speed when he lost control of his vehicle, veering off the road and colliding with a culvert. Unfortunately, he died at the scene and was later discovered by the relative he intended to meet.

Superintendent of Police Eroni Soqosoqo, the Acting Divisional Police Commander for the North, confirmed the details of the incident, stating that an investigation is currently underway. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place today, which will provide further insights into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
