A 25-year-old teacher from a well-regarded school in Tailevu is set to stand trial next year after being charged with sexual assault. The teacher appeared before Judge Justice Usaia Ratuvili in Suva for a preliminary mention. He is facing one count of sexual assault and three counts of rape, with the incidents reportedly taking place in March of this year. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has approved these charges.
