Tavua is set to give their all this Saturday as they face Bua in the Premier League Promotion Final Play-Off. Dr. Diva Singh, Tavua’s head coach and player, expressed that the team is feeling the pressure from friends and family, particularly since they are playing at home.
“It’s a significant moment for our players and supporters. We’ve had a strong run with nine undefeated matches, and we’re determined to fight hard for the top position,” Singh stated.
He emphasized the team’s strategy, noting, “We know we need to score, so the boys will focus on offense rather than defense. We’ll push hard from the first whistle until the end.”
Singh also mentioned the team’s readiness for the match and their anticipation for strong local support. Tavua must secure a victory by at least two goals to return to the top division. If they win with a score of 1-0, the game will proceed to extra time, and potentially penalties if no additional goals are scored.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 2 PM at Garvey Park in Tavua.
