Captain Akshay Kumar scored two goals, one in each half, leading Queensland to a 2-0 victory against the defending champions, New Zealand All Whites, on the second day of the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup in Sydney.
Despite a strong 4-0 win over Sigatoka the previous night, the All Stars were unable to match Queensland’s effective game plan, which they executed successfully.
With this result, the champions now have 4 points from three matches. They are set to compete against Wellington in their final match at 9:30 PM Fiji time tonight, while Queensland will face Sigatoka.
