Labasa football team goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau has earned a spot on the Fiji Bulaboys squad. His significant contribution helped the Babasiga Lions clinch the FMF IDC title, and he was honored with the Golden Glove award for his performance.
Head Coach Rob Sherman has announced a 29-member squad as the Fiji National Football Team prepares for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Oceania Qualifiers. Tamanisau will be joined by striker Christopher Wasa-sala and defender Sekove Nai-vaka-nanumi, both of whom excelled during the FMF IDC tournament.
The squad also features several international players, including Scott Wara from Stafford Rangers and Josh Qereqeretabua from Charlton Athletic. Additionally, Nadi FC goalkeeper Joela Biu-vanua has received a call-up to the team.
The national team is set to commence their training camp this Sunday at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba, as they ready themselves for the upcoming qualifiers. Fiji Bulaboys will face Papua New Guinea in their next match in Port Moresby next month.
