Sydney Suva has secured a place in the semifinals of the Rams Group of Companies Sanatan World Cup, following a 2-1 victory over New Zealand Sanatan in their quarterfinal match. Pranesh Goundar initially put the local team ahead, but Issac Kumar equalized for New Zealand Sanatan late in the second half, sending the match into extra time. Lachlan Lal, a substitute, scored the decisive goal for the team coached by Sanjeev Singh, under the management of Nick Sharma and Moshin Nabi.
