Sydney Suva Clinches Sanatan World Cup Glory with 2-0 Win!

Sydney Suva triumphed over Labasa with a score of 2-0 in an exciting final of the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup. Young player Marcus Lal scored the first goal for Suva early in the game, although he later missed a penalty opportunity. Labasa’s Anish Khem and Ashnil Raju worked tirelessly to bring their team back into contention, but Suva’s defense, led by goalkeeper Jerome Narayan along with Krishneel Dutt and Kishan Sami, held strong.

The match was effectively sealed when former Nadi striker Shivneel Pillay scored with a brilliant finish midway through the second half. Labasa’s struggles were compounded when Melvin Mani received a red card, leaving his team with ten players.

In individual accolades, Narayan was awarded the Golden Glove, while Lal earned the Golden Boot for scoring seven goals in the tournament. Pranit Singh was recognized as the Most Valuable Player, and Sydney Suva was honored as the Best Disciplined Team.
