Lynda Tabuya, the Minister for Women, has been cleared of allegations following an investigation by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC). The inquiries stemmed from complaints filed by the Supervisor of Elections in April, which claimed that Ms. Tabuya failed to accurately declare her income, along with similar accusations concerning her former spouse, Robert Semaan.
FICAC announced that after registering the complaint, they assessed the situation and conducted an inquiry. Their findings indicated that Ms. Tabuya was not required to disclose any information regarding her spouse, as she has been divorced from Robert Semaan since 2016. Consequently, FICAC has decided to close the case.
