Two additional businesses have collaborated with the Sugar Cane Growers Fund (SCGF) to provide discounted services and supplies for farmers as the upcoming crushing season approaches. SSUP Farm Machinery and Equipment will offer a 10% discount on all products, while Star Bright Energy (Fiji) Pte Limited will provide a 7% discount on all wholesale products.
SCGF CEO Raj Sharma expressed satisfaction with the expansion of the loyalty program, highlighting that these new partnerships bring exclusive deals to cane growers. Since the launch of the initiative, the SCGF has issued cards to approximately 1,656 growers and formed partnerships with a total of 20 businesses, which span various sectors including healthcare, hardware, and telecommunications.
Sharma announced an extension of the fee-free eligibility for the loyalty program until June 30, 2025, after which existing members will be charged a nominal fee of $10, while non-members will pay $20 for a three-year card. This loyalty program was established last year to reward productive sugar cane growers, signaling a robust effort to enhance their economic stability.
