The Suva Netball Association has officially extended its partnership with Newworld IGA for an additional two years. This ongoing collaboration, which has flourished for over a decade, will see Suva Netball continue to be recognized as Newworld IGA Suva Netball, further contributing to the sport’s development.

Sameer Patel, representing Newworld IGA, expressed his excitement about the continued support, while Suva Netball President Alumeci Sachs conveyed her gratitude towards Newworld for its vital role in the association’s achievements.

Ms. Sachs noted that the Suva Netball Association takes pride in seeing many of their Open players wear the National Uniform. Additionally, she highlighted that the U21 Suva players have been selected to participate in both the NWYC Oceania Qualifiers in the Cook Islands and the Maori Netball International Secondary School Tour this year.

This season, the Suva Netball Association has registered over 80 teams, solidifying its status as the largest netball association in the country.

A ceremony will officially commemorate the partnership renewal on September 30 at Lot 1 Viria Road, Vatuwaqa. The renewed sponsorship will enable Suva Netball to enhance opportunities for players and technical officials, engage with the community, and host events that celebrate and promote the sport.
