Suva is facing injury concerns as they gear up for their final pool match against Taveuni in the primary schools inter-district competition taking place in Labasa. Coach Mohammed Hussain noted the critical need to focus on a backup goalkeeper to boost their chances of success in the upcoming game. He confirmed, “Our goalkeeper is injured.”

Despite these challenges, Hussain remains optimistic that the team will advance to the finals. “We will come back stronger in our next game against Taveuni,” he stated. He emphasized the necessity of improving their defense, acknowledging it as a vulnerability displayed in previous matches during the competition.

“We will revisit our past games to assess our mistakes and identify areas for improvement,” Hussain added. He also mentioned that changes in weather patterns have impacted the players’ performances. “The boys are trying to adjust to the Babasiga heat.”

In their previous encounter with Navua, Suva achieved a slim victory of 1-0 and had a draw against Labasa.
