Three students from two separate educational institutions were apprehended yesterday in connection with drug possession. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Livai Driu, commended the teachers at these schools for their cooperation in the investigation, stating, “We applaud the teachers, one of our stakeholders who are assisting us in keeping everyone safe, and we will let the law take its course.”
In addition, ACP Driu revealed that another school is currently under investigation. This follows the discovery of smoking paraphernalia in the dining hall, which the school manager promptly reported to the police.
It’s encouraging to see educational institutions and law enforcement working together to address issues of drug use among students. This collaborative effort not only seeks to maintain a safe environment for all students but also highlights the importance of vigilance and communication in preventing substance abuse. As investigations continue, it is hoped that these actions will foster a safer and healthier atmosphere in schools.
