Rewa, the champions of the National League and semifinalists in the OFC Champions League, excelled at the 2024 Fiji FA Awards Night held in Nadi, taking home five prestigious awards.
Midfielder Ratu Tevita Waranaivalu was honored as the 2024 Male Footballer of the Year, while Adi Litia Bakaniceva earned the title of 2024 Female Footballer of the Year. The team’s president, Nazeel Buksh, was recognized as the Administrator of the Year, and the Delta Tigers received the accolade for Team of the Year.
Additionally, Adi Vikatoria Veronika won the award for Female Futsal Player of the Year. Other notable recipients included Dr. Diva Singh from Tavua, who was awarded Coach of the Year, and Aporosa Yada from Lautoka, who took home the Goal of the Year recognition. Mohammed Kaseem from Labasa received the Volunteer of the Year award, while Torika Delai was named Referee of the Year.
In the youth categories, Lami’s Ravneel Pal won Male Futsal Player of the Year, with Lautoka’s Sterling Vasconcellos and Elesi Tabunase winning Young Footballer of the Year awards for males and females, respectively. Maikah Dau and Filomena Batirerega were named Elite Footballers of the Year for males and females. Raymond Stoddart was celebrated as the Media Personality of the Year.
