The Solomon Islands will showcase two teams in the upcoming Melanesian Spearhead Group Prime Minister’s Cup, scheduled to take place in Honiara from December 9 to 12. This announcement was made during the official tournament draw that occurred last weekend at the National Stadium.
This year’s competition will feature teams from Papua New Guinea, Fiji, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, in addition to the host nation, Solomon Islands. The tournament will kick off with a match between the two Solomon Islands teams at Lawson Tama Stadium on December 9. That same day, Vanuatu will face New Caledonia in the first match of Group B. Competitions will also take place at the new National Stadium in Honiara, with the Solomon Islands aiming to defend their title this year.
