Former captain Shalen Lal has been appointed as the head coach of the Ba Football Association, taking the reins for the upcoming 2026 season as part of a newly revamped technical leadership team. Ba FA president Praneel Dayal announced this strategic decision, aiming to enhance the club’s football operations both on and off the field.
In other significant changes, Rodeck Singh has stepped down as Director of Football for health reasons. The Ba FA expressed gratitude for Singh’s contributions and wished him a swift recovery. Stepping into this role is Ravinesh Kumar, who brings a wealth of experience and will oversee football operations from grassroots to the senior team level.
Additionally, the 2026 technical setup introduces Yogendra Dutt as Technical Advisor and Malakai Kainihewe as Assistant Coach. Former Ba goalkeeper Iosefo Vosaboto has been appointed as Goalkeeper Coach, while Sanil Prakash joins the team as Team Manager.
President Dayal highlighted that these appointments are a reflection of the association’s commitment to reinstating Ba’s rich football legacy. He also encouraged Ba supporters to unite behind the Men in Black as they gear up for the new season.
