The Western Force has announced the re-signing of Fijian Wallaroos lock, Sera Naiqama, for the upcoming 2026 Super W season. Naiqama, who holds 13 caps with the Wallaroos, joined the Force before the 2025 season after an impressive six-year tenure with the NSW Waratahs, where she captured four Super W titles.
Throughout the 2025 Super W season, Naiqama was a consistent presence, starting every match and even scoring a try against the Drua in Round 3. Beyond her on-field contributions, she has made a significant cultural impact within the team, showcasing her leadership skills and vibrant personality.
Dylan Parsons, head coach of the Force, emphasized Naiqama’s value to the team, noting her experience and leadership qualities that strengthen the forward pack. “She’s also a great character for our group,” he remarked, highlighting her ability to uplift team morale and maintain a positive environment when needed. Parsons pointed out that Naiqama serves as an inspiring figure for younger players in the tight five, providing mentorship alongside her experience.
Retaining Naiqama is seen as a crucial move for the club as they prepare for the challenges of the upcoming season. Her commitment to the Force reinforces the team’s ambitions as they look to build on their success.
