Following the thrilling conclusion of the Singapore 7s, the focus shifts to the highly anticipated HSBC SVNS World Championship set to take place in Los Angeles on May 3-4. This season finale will be hosted at the Dignity Health Sports Park, which is also slated to be a rugby sevens venue for the upcoming LA 2028 Olympic Games.

Both the Fiji Airways men’s and women’s rugby sevens teams have confirmed their participation, having successfully qualified for this elite competition. The championship will feature the top eight ranked teams from both categories, creating a competitive environment for the title of HSBC SVNS 2025 Champions.

The draw took place after the Singapore 7s final, placing Fiji’s men’s team in Pool B alongside formidable teams such as Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. Meanwhile, the women’s team will face tough opponents as well, including Olympic champions Australia and hosts the USA in Pool B.

In men’s Pool A, the current league champions, Argentina, will go head-to-head with South Africa, France, and Great Britain, promising a series of electrifying matches. The competition format involves two pools of four teams each, with only the top two teams from each pool advancing to the semi-finals, ramping up the intensity of the games.

The excitement surrounding the upcoming championship reflects the ongoing growth of rugby sevens on a global scale. Enthusiasts and fans eagerly anticipate the spirited performances that both Fiji teams have consistently demonstrated throughout the season, signaling a hopeful trajectory for the sport. As the teams gear up for their encounters, there is a shared optimism for an exhilarating showcase of talent, camaraderie, and sportsmanship that transcends borders.
