The Fiji Bitter Tabadamu 7s Tournament is on the horizon, with Media and Marketing Officer James Vunituraga expressing gratitude toward the participating clubs for their unwavering commitment to the event. The 4th edition of the tournament is set to take place this Friday and Saturday at Thompson Park in Navua, drawing teams from distant regions including Vanua Levu, Kadavu, and the Western Division.

Vunituraga acknowledged the considerable fundraising efforts made by these teams, emphasizing that such dedication has not gone unnoticed. “We understand that these teams fundraise to be able to participate in this Fiji Bitter 7s series, and we thank the vanua, the clubs, especially the families and the supporters for helping these teams participate, hoping that one day soon one of these players will make it to the Fiji 7s team,” he stated.

This event not only serves as a competitive platform but reflects the broader commitment toward nurturing rugby talent in Fiji. As mentioned in previous events, teams from rural areas often face financial difficulties, yet their passion for the sport drives them to seek sponsorships and community support. This ongoing effort highlights the integral role of grassroots rugby in Fiji, showcasing the resilience and determination of local players amidst challenges.

The Tabadamu 7s is set to be broadcast live on FBC, further expanding its reach and audience engagement. As this tournament unfolds, it embodies hope for players aspiring to shine on larger platforms while enriching the community’s rugby culture.

In summary, the Fiji Bitter Tabadamu 7s Tournament promises not just thrilling matches but also serves as a beacon of perseverance, unity, and the pursuit of excellence in rugby across the nation.
