Lawyers Karthikeyan Chandra and Jovilisi Liganivai have been appointed as associates at Munro Leys, Fiji’s largest law firm, marking a significant step in their legal careers and showcasing their growing responsibilities within the firm.
Mr. Chandra earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of the South Pacific and was admitted to the Fiji Bar in 2017. His expertise spans various areas including commercial property, company law, contracts, corporate advisory, energy, and foreign investment. Additionally, he focuses on private client law encompassing estate planning, wills, administration, and non-profit organizations. He is a graduate of Leadership Fiji 2024 and actively participates in several community roles, including serving as a board member for the Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises & Development (FRIEND) Fiji and as secretary of Ekta Hindu Samaj. He is also recognized as a life member of TISI Sangam Fiji.
Mr. Liganivai, who completed his law and arts degrees at USP in 2018, was admitted to the Fiji Bar that same year. He has nearly four years of experience with the Legal Aid Commission, specializing in criminal and family law. Currently, he focuses on commercial and private client litigation, addressing corporate disputes, debt recovery, employment law, property law, insolvency issues, and regulatory compliance.
