Ajay Trading Rewa FC’s journey in the 2025 BiC Fiji FACT tournament has seen highs and lows as they qualified for the semi-finals despite a recent setback. Head coach Rodicks Singh candidly addressed the team’s 0-1 loss to Pacific Seafood Supplies Lautoka FC during their final group match in Group A, expressing disappointment over their performance, particularly in the first half where he felt they displayed lethargy.

Singh remarked, “Nobody to blame, no excuses to make, we’ll just take it upon ourselves.” He acknowledged the urgency of their situation, emphasizing the need for a proactive approach in high-stakes matches. The pivotal moment came when Lautoka’s Saula Waqa scored the only goal of the match in the 27th minute. Singh understood the emotions of their supporters, stating, “I know the supporters are disappointed,” and expressed gratitude for their unwavering support.

Despite the loss, Rewa’s fate in the tournament shifted positively when Ba secured a 1-0 victory over Navua, thereby solidifying Rewa’s spot in the semi-finals. Rewa is set to face Stratum Construction Suva FC this Saturday in the next round, scheduled at 4:30 PM at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Historically, Rewa has shown resilience in competitions. Singh’s earlier insights throughout the tournament reveal a consistent theme of learning from mistakes and improving performance. With prior victories, including a solid win over Dayals Sawmillers Ba FC and a draw against Blue Gas Navua FC, there is a sense of optimism that the Delta Tigers can regroup for their semi-final challenge.

The community and fans remain hopeful as the team prepares, showcasing their spirit and determination. As they navigate this crucial phase of the tournament, Rewa’s commitment to growth and improvement stands as a testament to their potential for success in Fijian football.
