Rewa FC is undeterred by recent poor weather as they gear up for the BIC Fiji FACT tournament this week at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Despite many local training fields being closed due to incessant rain, the Delta Tigers have relocated their practice sessions to the Uprising Sports Centre in Pacific Harbor.

Head coach Roderick Singh is maintaining a consistent lineup, focusing on the same core group of players who have started the season strong. “The boys are in a good space; they understand the expectations placed upon them. While they are not feeling pressured, everyone is aware of the high hopes surrounding our performances,” Singh noted.

A significant aspect of their preparation includes tightening the defense, as Singh pointed out issues with conceding easy goals in their recent league matches. He emphasized not underestimating their opponents, acknowledging that other teams often elevate their play during major tournaments like the Fiji FACT.

In the upcoming matches, Rewa will take on Ba on Friday at 4:30 p.m., Navua on Saturday at 6 p.m., and Lautoka on Sunday at 1 p.m. Fans can tune into live commentary of the tournament on Radio Fiji Two.

The anticipation surrounding the Fiji FACT highlights the community’s enthusiasm for local football, offering a chance for Rewa FC to showcase their talents while striving for victory. The team, buoyed by a blend of experienced players and passionate coaching, looks forward to garnering the support of its fanbase as they seek to reclaim their position among Fiji’s top football clubs.
