The Extra Supermarket Rewa football team faces a challenging journey in the upcoming 2025 OFC Men’s Championship League. Representing Fiji, Rewa has been placed in Group A, which includes formidable clubs from New Zealand, Tahiti, and New Caledonia.

Group B features teams from Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and the winner of the qualifying tournament, which is scheduled to take place in the Cook Islands from February 8-14. This tournament will include three competing teams: Royal Puma FC from American Samoa, Vaipuna SC from Samoa, and Tupapa Maraerenga FC from the Cook Islands. The winner will earn the final spot in Group B.

The OFC Men’s Championship League is a prestigious event that gathers top clubs from across Oceania, and it is set to occur in Honiara, Solomon Islands, from March 30 to April 12. Originally, the tournament was planned to be hosted in Fiji, where no local team has yet claimed victory, although clubs like Ba, Suva, Nadi, and Lautoka have reached the finals.

This competition presents an exciting opportunity for Rewa to showcase their talent on a larger stage, and the team’s participation reflects the growing competitiveness of Fijian football in the regional arena.

The challenges ahead may be steep, but there is hope that with determination and skill, Rewa can overcome the odds and make their mark in the tournament.
