Adi Akisi Ravoka, a 28-year-old from Drauniivi Village in Ra, proudly graduated with a Certificate in Automotive Mechanical Engineering from the Pacific Polytech Campus in Tagitagi, Tavua. She was one of 130 students celebrating this milestone, reflecting a significant achievement in her educational journey.

A mother of three, Ms. Ravoka currently holds a position as an attache at the Yaqara Pastoral Company. In her reflection on this accomplishment, she viewed her newly acquired qualification as a vital stepping stone towards future aspirations. Despite her childhood dream of becoming a teacher being met with various challenges, she remained committed to her goals.

“The skills and knowledge I have gained here will allow me to contribute meaningfully to any workplace,” Ms. Ravoka expressed. Her ambition extends beyond her current studies, as she envisions a future where she teaches automotive engineering, positively influencing the lives of her future students.

Ms. Ravoka candidly shared her journey of overcoming adversity, which included juggling family life, work, and education amidst financial constraints. Despite the challenges of sometimes missing classes due to these issues, her perseverance never wavered. She attributed her success to her faith, the support of her grandmother, and her children.

Expressing gratitude, she dedicated this achievement to her family and shared an empowering message for other single mothers: “Do not let your current circumstances define your future. There is a bright future ahead for you and your children. Never give up on your dreams.”
