The singer, known for his hit “One Wish,” drew attention when concertgoers noticed blood dripping from his eyes and a heart monitor while he was on stage.
Footage obtained by a local news outlet shows Ray J appearing to apply a substance to his face prior to his performance. A photographer at the event, Tommy Nard II, revealed that the fake blood was part of Ray J’s theatrical presentation, saying, “He loves the camera. He loves the attention.” Nard expressed confusion about the decision to use fake blood, remarking on the surprising effects it would have on the audience.
Ahead of his performance, Ray J indicated on Facebook that he was making significant sacrifices for the show, stating, “I’m putting my life on the line for this show!!” Videos from the concert showcased him removing his sunglasses to reveal blood pooled beneath his eyes, as well as showing blood smeared on a medical device during his performance.
In response to comments about his appearance, Ray J reassured fans in a backstage video that he was feeling better, adding, “Hey y’all, we’re perfectly fine.
