The Ratu Navula U18 rugby team has declared a media blackout ahead of their much-anticipated semi-final match against Queen Victoria School tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, scheduled for 5 PM.
During a visit to the school, principal Jeremaia Lewaravu announced that the board has opted for privacy during this critical period. He stated, “Our school board is advising us not to talk to the media. We are doing our normal preparations, and we will meet on Saturday.”
This decision highlights the team’s intense focus as they prepare to revive the glory they last achieved in 2013 when they won the Deans Trophy for the first time, led by noted players such as former Fiji 7s forward Vasikali Mudu. The school’s rugby heritage and the pressure to perform have only increased as they get ready for this significant match.
