The situation regarding Commissioner Northern Uraia Rainima remains uncertain following his recent hospital admission. Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Mosese Bulitavu confirmed that Rainima has since been discharged, but it is still unclear if he will resume his duties.
Bulitavu expressed confidence in Rainima’s contributions, noting, “He still has a lot to offer the Northern Division and the work he wishes to complete, along with the vision he set forth when he assumed office.” The minister acknowledged that a staff member is currently acting in the role of divisional planning officer while awaiting further developments.
