The Fiji Football Association’s grassroots festival is set to continue this Saturday, promising an increase in young participants eager to engage in the academy’s development initiatives.
Last weekend, the Ba Academy grounds were alive with excitement, despite adverse weather conditions, as the festival successfully unfolded against a backdrop of continuous rainfall. The event highlighted the resilience, passion, and determination of young football enthusiasts who participated in engaging activities aimed at enhancing their skills, fostering teamwork, and nurturing their love for the game.
Ravinesh Kumar, Director of Ba Football, along with players from the Ba team, took part in the festival, providing guidance and motivation to the aspiring athletes. The dedication of these seasoned footballers added an inspirational element to the event, encouraging the youth to pursue their football aspirations.
Dhiren Chand, Fiji FA Head of Development for the West, praised the young players, commenting on their outstanding energy and passion despite the rainy conditions. Chand emphasized that grassroots football serves as a vital platform, offering children the chance to enjoy the game while developing their skills and confidence in a nurturing environment.
The commitment to youth development through initiatives like the grassroots festival not only improves individual skills but also strengthens community ties and fosters a lifelong passion for football.
