Restaurants along the waterfront remained open until midnight, serving enthusiastic patrons who sought a memorable way to ring in the new year. Among the visitors was Mukesh Chand, a 35-year-old from Lomawai, who brought his family to join the celebrations. “We wanted to celebrate New Year differently this year, so we decided to come to Port Denarau because we know they always have a New Year’s Eve party,” he shared, expressing his enjoyment of the evening. Chand added, “I hope to come again next year,” highlighting the positive impressions made by the event.
