Six police officers have been charged with various offenses, including abuse of office, assault resulting in actual bodily harm, obtaining financial advantages through deception, unlawful possession of illegal drugs, and wrongful confinement. Acting Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci stated that police officers themselves have been victims of crime while performing their duties. According to Raikaci, 171 officers were reported as victims across 219 incidents, with 33 officers affected by cases involving multiple counts. These incidents involved serious assaults, resistance to arrest, and obstruction of police officers in the execution of their duties.
