Police Blue successfully retained their title at the Fiji Bitter Malake 7s in Rakiraki on Saturday, defeating Devo Babas 5-0 in a closely contested final. The victory earned the team a prize of $6,000.
In the semifinal matches, Police Blue triumphed over Tabadamu with a score of 19-7, while Devo Babas secured their place in the final by defeating Wardens Gold 17-5.
In other categories, the Lilian Amazons secured the Women’s title, and the Village Boys emerged victorious in the Under-21 grade. Sairusi Vunisa from Devo Babas was named the Best Player of the Tournament, Kelerayani Luvu from Lilian Amazons received the Best Female Player award, and Joseva Naqarikau of Village Boys was honored as the Best U21 Player.
