This Friday, the Miss Cakaudrove Youth title will be awarded at Narain Park in Savusavu, featuring a unique crown embellished with 59 pearls. The event is part of the Cakaudrove Multi-Ethnic Youth and Sports Festival, and will see 14 contestants competing for both the Miss Cakaudrove Youth and Miss Charity titles, representing 12 different districts, as well as Rabi Island and Kailoma.

The opening ceremony kicks off today at 10 am, starting with a parade from the Savusavu Court House to Narain Park. The closing ceremony for the pageant is set for Friday at 3 pm, culminating in the crowning events at 7 pm, which will be graced by Chief Guest, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

The event is made even more special through valuable contributions, including the unique pearl crown crafted by J Hunter Pearls and a donated crown for Miss Charity by Shane Bower. Aubrey Whippy, the carnival coordinator, highlighted that the entire program spans four days, offering a full day and night of festivities. The funds raised during this event will contribute to youth development initiatives in Cakaudrove.

Entry to the park is free, marking this as the inaugural event organized by the Cakaudrove Youth Provincial Council, which is a positive step towards community engagement and youth empowerment in the region.

This ongoing festival not only celebrates youth talent and beauty but also emphasizes the importance of community support and the development of future leaders. With a focus on funding for youth programs, the event is paving the way for a brighter future for the young people in Cakaudrove.

In summary, the upcoming Miss Cakaudrove Youth pageant is a significant community event, promoting youth empowerment and cultural diversity while raising funds for future development initiatives.
