Ono-I-Lau Sixers triumphed in the 2025/26 Suva Women’s League final on Saturday at Albert Park, securing a victory over Nausori Majidez by 22 runs. The match highlighted an impressive performance from the Sixers, led by Captain Ilisapeci Waqavakatoga, who not only scored 53 runs but also took 3 wickets, showcasing her all-round capabilities.
Cilia Lewatu played a vital role in the team’s success by contributing 36 runs and claiming 5 wickets, further solidifying the Sixers’ dominance throughout the match. Despite the efforts of Majidez’s Akosita Levaci and Jasvil Rokoro, who scored 21 and 17 runs respectively, they could not match the skill and determination displayed by the Sixers during the first innings.
