Kerzner International has unveiled plans for the first One&Only resort in the Yasawa Islands on Nacula Island, Fiji, marking a groundbreaking development in the country’s hospitality landscape. Set to open in 2029, this venture will include a community of One&Only-branded Private Homes alongside a luxury resort.
Starting this November, Kerzner will begin sales of these private homes, providing a unique opportunity for buyers to own part of the prestigious One&Only brand. The launch represents a significant collaboration between Kerzner International and BSP Life, a major Fijian investor, reinforcing Fiji’s growing appeal to high-net-worth investors.
The One&Only Yasawa resort will encompass 127 acres, offering 40 unique accommodations, ranging from rooms and suites to villas. Guests will also enjoy six gourmet dining options, a wellness center, and bespoke island experiences curated specifically for affluent travelers. The planned 20 private homes will seamlessly blend traditional Fijian design with contemporary architecture, providing owners with luxurious, fully serviced residences that offer breathtaking views of the ocean and the surrounding tropical landscape.
Philippe Zuber, CEO of Kerzner, expressed enthusiasm about bringing the One&Only brand to Fiji: “Fiji has long been a coveted addition to our global portfolio, and this development aligns with our growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific region.”
The arrival of Kerzner International follows other similar luxury initiatives in Fiji, such as Marriott International’s upcoming Ritz-Carlton Fiji in Namuka Bay set for 2030. These developments signify Fiji’s emerging role as a top destination for luxury travelers and investors, contributing significantly to the nation’s economy and job creation. Michael Nacola, Managing Director of BSP Life Fiji, commented on this milestone as an elevation of Fiji’s investment appeal on a global scale.
The project also acknowledges the traditional landowners and the Fijian Government’s support, underscoring a collaborative approach to development in the region. As Fiji continues to attract luxury brands and upscale developments, the country’s strategy positions it as a leading destination for high-value tourism, promising sustainable economic growth and enhanced global prestige.
