The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) will host the OFC Men’s Champions League 2025, taking over from Fiji due to venue unavailability. Notably, Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium and Churchill Park in Lautoka are already booked for Fijian Drua matches.

The tournament is set to run from March 29 to April 13, with games scheduled at Honiara’s National Stadium and Lawson Tama Stadium. The draw for the event is scheduled for December 11, featuring eight teams from across the Oceania region vying for the championship title, currently held by Auckland City.

Fiji’s representative in the tournament will be Rewa, which secured its spot by winning the Digicel Premier League this year.

This shift in hosting offers an exciting opportunity for Solomon Islands to showcase their facilities and hospitality to international teams. It could be a pivotal moment for the local football scene, enhancing the profile of the sport in the region. Bringing such a prestigious tournament to Honiara could foster growth and development in football infrastructure and community engagement in the Solomon Islands.
