The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has forwarded the investigation file regarding FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali to the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) due to the investigation being incomplete.
In an official statement, the ODPP indicated that the issue was examined by the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, John Rabuku, in collaboration with the Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva.
The ODPP has provided recommendations to the CID for the investigation’s completion. Once the investigation is finished, the file will be sent back to the ODPP for a thorough review of all evidence.
The ODPP stated that updates on the outcome of the file review will be shared once the completed investigation file is received and a decision has been made.
