A recent altercation at a nightclub has resulted in six individuals, including a bouncer, needing medical attention after a violent confrontation unfolded during the weekend. The incident transpired shortly after closing time when a group of intoxicated patrons attempted to force their way into the venue.
According to a staff member present during the chaotic event, tensions flared around 1 a.m. after two people were removed from a nearby nightclub. The situation quickly escalated as the ejected individuals returned with four others, demanding entry while exhibiting aggressive behavior. When the nightclub’s bouncers denied them access, the confrontation escalated into physical violence, leading to serious injuries.
One of the bouncers suffered a dislocated jaw as the group attacked the security personnel. Currently, three individuals are being treated at Sigatoka Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition, while two others remain unconscious and one is in stable condition at another medical facility.
The staff member pointed out the lack of police presence during the incident, which they felt exacerbated the situation. Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu confirmed that investigations are underway, and police were on-site to transport the injured to the hospital.
